About Kanpur City

Kanpur is a large industrial city on the banks of the Ganges River, in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. On its northern outskirts, Kanpur Zoological Park features orangutans and tigers. Kanpur gained center stage during the colonial era when it was transferred by the Nawab of Awadh to the British. The city witnessed the Massacre of Kanpur during the Indian Independence struggle. Today, Kanpur is a proud centre of learning in India and has many reputed institutions to its credit including the much revered Indian Institute of Technology. Other notable institutions include University Institute of Engineering and Technology, CSJM University, Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), GSVM Medical College and Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (AITH). Nice to know - the era of Mahabharata, Duryodhana gifted a piece of land to his friend and loyalist Karna for his bravery against the mighty Arjuna. Another legend has it that it was originally known as Kanhaiyapur after Lord Krishna , and over a period of time, it got its present name.

About Trivandrum City

Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) is the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala. It's distinguished by its British colonial architecture and many art galleries. Best time to visit - October to February: October and November are generally pleasant and sometimes light rain showers are observed during these two months. November onwards, the winter season starts in Trivandrum but the overall temperature does not drop below 18 degree Celsius.
