Vijayawada is a city in the southeast Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It's known for the ornate Kanaka Durga Temple, which sits atop a hill overlooking the city. On the industrial front, Kanpur is well-known for its leather and cotton products and attracts business from both India and abroad.
Nice to know - the era of Mahabharata, Duryodhana gifted a piece of land to his friend and loyalist Karna for his bravery against the mighty Arjuna. The place was first known as Karnapur, and during the course of the journey, the name became Kanpur. Another legend has it that it was originally known as Kanhaiyapur after Lord Krishna , and over a period of time, it got its present name.
