Jodhpur is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar desert. Jul-Mar is the best time to visit Khajuraho. Winter season is the best season for a visit to Khajuraho, especially in the context of the outdoor activities. The summers, though, are the least advisable time for a visit, owing to the scorching heat and the unbearable humidity.
